Overview: Marshall is among the best athletes in this draft class and can make an immediate impact in the league as a change-of-pace back and a weapon in the passing game. If he develops his ability to run between the tackles, which he has the build for, he could develop into a more well-rounded runner and emerge as a legitimate starter in the league.

Overview: Gordon is a home run threat, but isn’t the complete package at this stage of his career. He almost exclusively tries to bounce his runs to the outside—which he does very well—but he needs to develop as an interior runner if he’s going to play at an elite level at the next level. With his current style, he needs to be supported by a dominant blocking scheme in order to have sustained success at the next level. He also has no experience in the passing game, with just three receptions entering his senior year.

Overview: Davis is built in the mold of Maurice Jones-Drew type running back. He’s small, compact and shifty. Davis is a ‘what you see is what you get’ prospect. He lacks the truly dominant speed and elusiveness, but he’s more than capable of coming into the league in an immediate starting role.

T.J. Yeldon Scouting Report

Overview: Yeldon is sort of a ‘tweener at this stage of his career. He isn’t quite explosive or elusive enough to be a consistent weapon running on the outside but he’s not big enough to consistently break tackles running up the middle. He does appear to have good vision though and his quick footwork allows him to weave between slower linemen. If he can improve his explosive and change-of-direction ability this year, he could enter the conversation as a first round pick.

Overview: A healthy Gurley is a dominant Gurley. He has shown consistent development throughout his career and now appears to be one of the most complete running backs to enter the draft in recent years. He’s primarily a downhill runner, but has the quickness to make guys miss on occasion and the speed to take it the distance.
