Calvin Johnson #21
Wide Receiver
Georgia Tech
Ht: 6'5
Wt: 235

Strengths: Elite size and speed combination. Tremendous hands. Excellent leaping ability. Has the rare natural ability to make difficult catches in traffic. Follows the ball and adjusts to it in the hair. Has a size and speed advantage over nearly every cornerback attempting to cover him.

Weaknesses: Disappears from some games without explanation. Seems to lose focus. Occasionally gets Braylon Edwards syndrome - catches the impossible ones, but drops the easy ones. Route running is shaky; he was able to rely on his physical superiority to get him through college.

Comments: Johnson is a truly elite prospect and the scary thing is there may be even more upside once he reaches the next level. He never played with even a mediocre college quarterback and there is no telling just how dominant he could have been is a better system. He is the best college receiver since Larry Fitzgerald, and figures to have every bit of an impact at the next level. He will be off the board in the first five picks.
