Strengths: Very strong. Tremendously productive in college. Always around the ball. A true playmaker. A team leader on and off the field. Shows a great understanding for the game of football.

Weaknesses: Short and stocky for a middle linebacker. An average athlete at best. Has a history of minor injuries (wrist and leg).

Comments: Blades is a classic example of an overachiever that work his way to the top. He isn't a great athlete but he simply gets the job done. His lack of measurables will scare some teams away, but at the worst, he is going to be a solid backup at the next level. He could be a steal on the second day of the draft.
