Strengths: Ideal height. Great all around athlete. Always around the ball carrier. A big play kind of guy. Excellent speed.

Weaknesses: Not an experienced player. Technique is only average, relies too much on his athleticism. Below average in pass coverage.

Comments: Timmons' biggest weakness is that he has just one year of starting experience. He looks like an ideal NFL linebacker based on his physical abilities, but he is a risky pick because he doesn't have the body of work to prove that he can be an impact player over the course of the season at the next level. In any normal year he might not even be selected in the first round, but given this year's weak class of linebackers he could be a top fifteen selection and the first linebacker off the board.
