Strengths: Great size. Stays low and gives punishing hits. Solid fundamentals as a blocker and gives his best effort at all times. Good ball carrier. Runs low and keeps his feet moving. Can be an asset as a receiver out of the backfield.

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal speed. Ability to learn an offensive quickly is in question. Tends to just slow guys down, rather than finish off blocks.

Comments: McLain has some nice upside as a fullback and could contribute right away in the NFL. He needs work still and is raw in some areas, but he has the potential to develop into a long time starter. He projects as a late round selection.
