Marques Murrell #44
Outside Linebacker
Appalachian State
Ht: 6'2
Wt: 245

Strengths: Great size and strength of a linebacker. A solid pass rusher. Smart player with good fundamentals. Hard worker that plays tough.

Weaknesses: Played defensive end for most of college career but will have to switch to linebacker in the NFL. He lacks elite speed and may only be a good fit at outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme. Has very little experience, if any, in pass coverage.

Comments: Murrell is going to be a very raw player when makes the switch to linebacker. He doesn't show the elite athleticism that other recent players have shown that have successfully made the switch; coupled with the fact that he hasn't played against elite competition, this will cause his stock to fall. He projects as a a mid to late round selection and will be a project that may not produce until a year or two down the road.
