Strengths: Great size and strength. Very physical inside linebacker. Reliable tackler and a hard hitter. Has good football instincts.

Weaknesses: Struggles to shed blocks. Doesn't have elite speed. Not a great athlete. Does not look fluid in coverage. Ball skills are below average. Durability is a major concern. Missed all of 2004 with a knee injury and missed parts of 2006 as well. Arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in 2006 and was suspended over the summer but did not miss any game.

Comments: Mitchell has the size and football instincts that coaches look for but he lacks the athleticism to succeed in the NFL. He is a mediocre prospect at best that projects as no more than an adequate backup at the next level.
