Strengths: Great size and strength. Has decent quickness despite lack of speed. Solid in coverage; especially in zone. Hard hitter and solid wrap up tackler. Excels as a pass rusher.

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal speed. Doesn't take great routes to the ball carrier. Plays sloppy and even looks lazy at times.

Comments: Burgess is a great athlete but has always been an underachiever at Michigan. He has the skills to be a solid situational player at the next level, but may never develop into a full time starter. He projects as a mid round selection in the draft.
