Thomas Clayton #5
Running Back
Kansas State
Ht: 5'10
Wt: 218

Strengths: Has the physical tools to be a stud at the next level. Ideal size and speed combination. A powerful downhill runner, but also shows the speed to bounce a run to the outside. An effective receiver out of the backfield.

Weaknesses: Serious character concerns. Arrested for aggravated battery in 2005 and was suspended for one game. Suspended again in 2006 for violation of team rules. Did not get along with the Kansas State coaching staff and was pushed to third on the depth chart despite being clearly being the best athlete on the Wildcats offense.

Comments: Clayton has the tools to succeed in the NFL but he must stay of trouble. There have been players to reach NFL success with worse rap sheets than Clayton but he must keep his ego in check and get along with whatever coaching staff decides to take a risk on him. Given his character concerns, he looks like a 7th round pick at best.
