Strengths: Excellent size. Smart, patient player with good field vision. Does a good job of reading the quarterback in zone coverage.

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal athleticism. A bit of a safety/linebacker 'tweener. Doesn't have great speed.

Comments: Catanese doesn't have an ideal position in the NFL. He is too slow to be a good fit at safety, but not big enough to fit in at linebacker. He should make his biggest impact at the next level on special teams. He projects as a late round pick or undrafted free agent.
