Adarius Bowman WR Oklahoma State #12

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 223

Strengths:
Tremendous size and strength. A big, physical receiver. Good route runner. Good leaping ability; can go up and get the ball in traffic. Very reliable hands.
Weaknesses:
Missed time in 2007 with a sprained right knee. Dismissed from North Carolina football team in 2004 for marijuana possession. Has had vision issues. Underwent Lasik eye surgery in April 2007 and again in January 2008. Very slow; ran a 4.74 forty at the combine.
Comments:
Bowman was a tremendously productive college player that didn't have fewer than 4 receptions in any game as a senior. He has the size and leaping ability to be an effective possession receiver and a serious threat in the red zone. Despite some obvious physical tools, his injuries, off-field issues and lack of speed will cause him to fall down the draft boards. Teams have to be concerned by the fact that he's needed two eye surgeries in less than a year. Despite having 2nd or 3rd round talent, he likely falls deep into the draft. However, if given some time and placed in the right situation he could develop into a very reliable receiver in the Joe Jurevicius mold.
