Strengths:
Ideal size and strength. Adequate speed. Shows a good burst when hitting holes. Above average blocker.
Weaknesses:
Not as physical as his size would appear to allow. Doesn't show the powerful drive in his legs to gain significant yardage after contact. Poor decision maker; not very patient. Missed 2005 season with broken fibula.
Comments:
Came to Oklahoma in 2006 from Independence Community College in Kansas. Patrick has the tools to be an effective NFL running back but isn't the complete package that teams look for in the early rounds. He is more likely to be a mid-round pick and stick with a team as a backup.
