Colt Brennan QB Hawaii #15

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 205

Strengths:
Ideal height. Stands his ground in the pocket. Very calm under pressure. Makes good reads, shows the ability to go through his progressions. Very accurate. Can get rid of the ball quickly and accurately. Good arm strength. Enough mobility to move around when necessary.
Weaknesses:
Is he just a product of the system? You can't take much from the numbers he posted because any decent quarterback would throw for 4,000 yards in that system. He has some character concerns in his past, but seems to have moved past that. A little no the skinny side; would be well served to add 10-15 pounds. Will need to learn how to take the ball from under center, something he rarely, if ever, did at Hawaii.
Comments:
Brennan is more than just a product of the system, but he won't work in every NFL offense. His athleticism and ability to get off quick, short, accurate passes compares favorably to Jeff Garcia, and like Garcia he may be best suited in a west coast offense. Certain teams will have no use for his services because it will take time to teach him a new system, but in the right situation he could turn into a solid NFL starting quarterback.
