Darren McFadden RB Arkansas #5

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 210

Strengths:
Powerful running back. Great speed. Tremendous vision; sees holes seemingly before they open up and hits them with a burst of speed. Not afraid to seek out contact. Has the power to run over defenders. Rarely, if ever, goes down on first contact. An unbelievable athlete. A threat as a receiver out of the backfield. Also a threat to throw the ball. Unbelievable quickness for a running back of his size.
Weaknesses:
Has shown a tendency to fumble. Has very skinny legs, which raises doubt about his ability to hold up over the long haul. Missed time in 2006 after injuring his toe in a fight outside a night club.
Comments:
McFadden is an elite prospect, right on par with Adrian Peterson's stock a year ago. Peterson success as a rookie only enhances McFadden's value. McFadden shows all the necessary physical tools to be a perennial Pro Bowl running back. Scouts will question his skinny legs and his ability to hold up over a 16 game season, and longer depending on playoffs, but don't read too much into it. Scouts will find flaws with every prospect, and with McFadden, those conjectures are about all you can find.
