Strengths:
Ideal height to be a target in the passing game. Adequate speed. A decent all-around athlete. A very productive pass catching tight end at the college level. Hard worker. Gives good effort as a blocker.
Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal bulk. Too skinny to be a dominant blocker. Will be limited in his ability to get into the field until he adds 10-15 pounds to improve his effectiveness his a blocking tight end.
Comments:
Barnidge has a nice skill set as a receiver but lacks the necessary size to be effective as a blocker. However, he does appear to have frame to carry more weight, but it will take some effort. He's worth a mid-round pick if a team is willing to be patient and use him as a situational backup.
