Strengths:
Good overall size and strength. A tough, physical linebacker. Plays with a mean streak. A big hitter. An excellent pass rusher. Experience at defensive end and linebacker.
Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal height. Below average speed. Struggles in coverage.
Comments:
McClain is limited in the type of system that he can play in at the next level. His best fit will be at inside linebacker in a 3-4 system. He has some upside based on his pass rush skills, but doesn't show the complete package necessary to be an every down player.
