James Hardy WR Indiana #82

Ht: 6'6
Wt: 217

Strengths:
Simply huge for a wide receiver. Tremendous height and long arms. Good leaping ability. Can go up and pluck the ball out of the air over any defensive back. Great speed for his size. Played basketball for one season at Indiana. A tremendous natural athlete.
Weaknesses:
Not a crisp route runner; plays like he's in his backyard and just wants to go deep. Not much of a threat after the catch. Serious character concerns. Arrested in 2006 after his girlfriend accused him of hitting her and their infant son. The incident was settled without going to trial and he was suspended for two games.
Comments:
Hardy has some unique skills but he's had a roller coaster career. He is a borderline first round talent, but his character concerns may cause teams to hold off until the second round before taking a chance. He is typical boom or bust type player; he has tons of upside but he must put forth the effort to take his game to that elite level.
