Jason Shirley DT Fresno State #97

Ht: 6'5
Wt: 329

Strengths:
Tremendous size and strength. A perfect fit at nose tackle in a 3-4 defense.
Weaknesses:
Lacks the athleticism to be a playmaker. Will be of very little use anywhere but nose tackle. Suspended 3 times in 2007, the last of which was indefinite. Charged with a DUI and hit and run in October; trial is set to begin April 23. Other suspensions were for undisclosed reasons and described as conduct detrimental to the team.
Comments:
A similar prospect to former teammate Louis Leonard, who went undrafted last year but played nose tackle in 4 games for the Browns in 2007. He definitely has the size and strength to make an NFL roster but his off-field issues make him entirely undraftable. He may be facing jail time and likely won't be touched by an NFL team until after his trial has concluded.
