Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon #28

Ht: 5'11
Wt: 235

Strengths:
Strong, powerful running back. Thick legs; can bulldoze his way through a pile of defenders. Shows good vision, very patient, waits for his holes to open up. Decent agility and quickness considering his size. Rarely brought down on first contact. Adequate straight line speed.
Weaknesses:
Not a home run threat. Didn't really burst onto the scene until his junior year. Has struggling with fumbling issues at times throughout his career. His left ankle is a fairly serious concern. In 2002, broke his left ankle. In 2005 missed time with a sprained left ankle. In 2006 missed time with a high left ankle sprain.
Comments:
Stewart has all the makings of a franchise running back. His history of injuries raises some concern, which may cause some teams to shy away, but shouldn't cause him to fall too far in the draft. His size and speed is a rare combination and he shouldn't be any lower than the third running back on most teams draft boards.
