Strengths:
Good size and strength. A versatile lineman that could play anywhere but center. Strong lower body. Holds his own against bigger, stronger defensive linemen. Excels as a run blocker; has the quickness to get to the second level of defenders. A starter for the majority of his four years in college.
Weaknesses:
Not a great athlete. Doesn't have the quick feet or enough lateral mobility to excel as a left tackle in the pro. Best suited for right tackle or guard.
Comments:
Barton doesn't really stand out in any one area but he is simply a reliable and productive lineman. You know what you're getting with him, no more and no less. He will be a solid mid-round pick that can provide instant depth along the offensive line.
