Marcus Thomas RB UTEP #8

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 215

Strengths:
Great size. A powerful running back. Fairly good agility for running back of his size; has quick feet. Above average blocker. Effective as a receiver out of the backfield.
Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal speed; not a threat to break off the big run. A little on the stocky side. Not a great natural athlete.
Comments:
Thomas doesn't have the speed or athleticism to be an every down back in the NFL. His role at the next level will be limited to a short yardage specialist, but he should be able to stick with a team in that role. His ability to pick up the short yards and catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a very intriguing player to have on the field in 3rd and short situations and at the very least someone should be able to use him in that role.
