| Missed most of 2007 with turf toe. Not a great natural athlete; doesn't look smooth in his back pedal. Not a playmaker. Doesn't adjust well to the ball in the air. |

| Van Zant will generate headlines, if not for his talent, than for the fact that he is deaf. He was born without eardrums and works with an interpreter. This is somewhat of a concern, for communication purposes on the field, but he has obviously worked through that barrier in the past and it will just be something his new teammates will have to adjust to. His size and lack of elite athleticism makes him an ideal candidate to make the switch to safety at the next level. |
