Mike Hart RB Michigan #20

Ht: 5'9
Wt: 195

Strengths:
Well built and shows the willingness and ability to take a hit. Ideal lower body strength to withstand hard hits. Rarely taken down on first contact. An intelligent running back. Patient when waiting for holes to develop. A true competitor; will play through pain.
Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal height and overall size. A four year starter that has already shown signs of wearing down. Doesn't have break away speed. Missed time with a hamstring pull and sprained ankle in 2005. Has surgery on his shoulder in 2007. Missed time in 2007 with high ankle sprain. Banged up with various injuries throughout his senior year.
Comments:
Hart has the tools to take his game to the net level but his lack of size and the overwhelming number of injuries he has already suffered seriously hurts his stock. He doesn't appear to have what it takes to carry the load as a feature back at the next level, despite possessing the tools to do so. He will be a very effective backup at the next level and should be able to fill in adequately when needed, but its unlikely anyone will select him with hopes of developing him into a feature back.
