Mike Jenkins CB South Florida #4

Ht: 6'0
Wt: 200

Strengths:
Adequate height. Good size; not huge, but strong for his size. Strong enough to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage, and fast enough to make up for a mistake. Has some experience at safety. Starting experience in all four years. Tough and physical for a defensive back.
Weaknesses:
Faster than he is quick. Was arrested in 2007 after being involved in a bar fight. Below average hands, just 6 career interceptions (3 in 2007). Not the best tackler, which appears to be attributed to a lack of effort.
Comments:
Jenkins' size and speed combination makes him the top cornerback in this draft class. He doesn't always stand out because he isn't much of a playmaker, but he gets the job done. One major concern is his tackling. He can handle the smaller receivers, but its a rare sight to see him stepping up in run support. He isn't an elite prospect, but this is a poor class for corners which should allow him to land somewhere in the top 15 picks.
