Pat Sims DT Auburn #95

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 310

Strengths:
Tremendous size. Shows decent athleticism for an interior lineman. Has the ability to make plays in the backfield. Played with a cast on his broken hand as a senior.
Weaknesses:
Quit the football team in 2005 but returned in 2006. Only has one full year as a productive starter under his belt. Had serious academic issues and struggled to stay eligible throughout his career. Suffered a broken hand in 2007 but played through the injury.
Comments:
Sims lack of commitment to the Auburn program raises a major red flag. Speculation was made that his sister's death the previous year led to him quitting the team, but he did not outright use that as his reasoning. That is an issue that he will have to explain further. Regardless of quitting the team, he only put together one quality season at Auburn and teams will question if he is a one year wonder.
