Strengths:
Good size and strength. Gives good effort as a blocker. A great natural athlete for the fullback position. Very reliable receiver out of the backfield.
Weaknesses:
Not an elite blocking fullback. Doesn't run like a fullback; not great at picking up short yardage.
Comments:
Hillis is a similar prospect to current St. Louis Rams running back/fullback, Brian Leonard. He doesn't have the speed to be a starting running back, but he lacks the bulk and blocking skills to be a true fullback. He's a solid mid-round pick, but his skill set won't suit every team.
