| A versatile player with plenty of experience at both corner and safety. A reliable tackler and solid in run support. Decent ball skills. Can go up and make a play. Tough and physical at the line of scrimmage when lined up at cornerback. Has experience returning punts. A tremendous natural athlete. |

| Timed speed is adequate for a safety, but below average for a cornerback. Doesn't have the smooth footwork and overall agility to excel in man coverage at the next level. |

| Smith played primarily at cornerback at Oklahoma, but fortunately he does have experience at safety, where he will likely line up in the NFL. His versatility improves his stock to the point where he could be a late first rounder. He has the ability to come in and immediately help a good team looking to just add some depth in its secondary. |
