Terrell Thomas CB USC #28

Ht: 6'1
Wt: 197

Strengths:
Good size. Well built. Shows good field awareness. An intense player who can be very physical. Gives a good effort in run support. Has experience on special teams and has excelled there. Shows good technique when bumping receivers at the line of scrimmage; is physical without getting out of position.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't have elite speed, yet is faster than he is quick. Not always fluid in man coverage. Doesn't get pushed around often, but when he does he fails to recover. Durability is a serious concern. Has dislocated both shoulders and undergone surgery on each. Also had surgery on his right knee.
Comments:
Thomas is a hard hitter, which is a plus, but he lacks the athletic ability to ever be a starting cornerback. Ultimately he may be best suited to make the move to free safety where his tackling ability will be best put to use and his lack of speed and quickness won't be a major issue. At the very least he has a future as a backup defensive back and a quality special teams contributor.
