Strengths:
A great athlete for his size. Very strong. Shows good quickness off the snap. Has a motor that never dies. Stays low and uses excellent leverage. Has a nice array of moves, but is also strong enough to simply bull rush his way into the backfield.
Weaknesses:
MAJOR concerns about his off field issues. Left team during his senior year for personal reasons and packed on 15 to 20 pounds and looked significantly slower.
Comments:
Blake will have a ton of questions to answer at the combine. Teams will want a full disclosure of the reasons he missed so much time this season. They'll also want to see him slim down. His playing weight should be closer to 250 than 280. At one point he was a first round lock, but now he's a mid-round pick at best. A good showing at the combine could help, but a lot rides on the reasons he gives for missing time this past season.
