Branden Ore RB West Liberty State #28

Ht: 5'11
Wt: 209

Strengths:
Well built. Adequate speed. Very productive while at Virginia Tech from 2005-07. A good all around athlete. Shows the ability to contribute as a receiver.
Weaknesses:
Dismissed from Virginia Tech in May, 2008 for disciplinary reasons. Underwent shoulder surgery in 2005. Suffered an ankle injury in 2007. Doesn't have a major on-field weakness, but doesn't stand out in any one area either.
Comments:
Ore clearly has talent but there are far too many questions surrounding his departure from Virginia Tech. Frank Beamer was very quiet about the reasons for dismissing his top returning running back and that's concerning. Teams will need to dig deep to find out what exactly was going on at Virginia Tech that led to his departure. To Ore's credit, he has stayed out of trouble since arriving at West Liberty State. He should be a priority free agent and could ultimately end up being a steal if he's committed to the game.
