Strengths:
Ideal size. Very well built. A decent athlete with good height. An adequate blocker; gives a good effort. Decent receiver; reliable hands.
Weaknesses:
Speed is marginal; doesn't have the ability to stretch the field. Not much more than a possession receiver for short-yardage situations. Not a dominant blocker.
Comments:
Gronkowski is an adequate all-around tight end. He possess the ability to make an impact as a receiver and a blocker, but doesn't stand out in either aspect of the game. He isn't starter material, but could be an adequate backup.
