David Veikune OLB Hawaii #94

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 255

Strengths:
Elite strength. Reliable tackler and a hard hitter. Has experience lining up all over the field - defensive end, tackle, linebacker. Has a nice compact build that allows him to get good leverage when engaged with an offensive lineman. Above average ability as a pass rusher.
Weaknesses:
Limited experience at linebacker; primarily played defensive end at Hawaii. Below average speed. Athleticism is marginal; will struggle in coverage in the pros.
Comments:
Veikune's value will vary drastically from team to team. Teams running a 4-3 defense have very little use for him because he is too small to play defensive end, but too slow to play linebacker. His best fit is at outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense where he can be used primarily as a pass rusher, and can be moved around to find the matchup that best suits his skill set.
