Gerald McRath ILB Southern Miss #24

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 231

Strengths:
Elite athleticism. Speed is well above average for linebacker. Has an athletic build with room to bulk up.
Weaknesses:
A little overrated. Got by in Conference USA due to his far superior athleticism against weaker competition. Lacks the size to immediately project as a three-down linebacker in the NFL. Very raw; relied on his speed and quickness and didn't develop solid technique in college.
Comments:
McRath has tremendous upside but he lacks the experience, fundamentals and size to make an immediate impact in the pros. He has the potential to develop into a very good player, but is definitely a developmental prospect at this point. He could come off the board as high as the 3rd round if a team falls in love with his athletic ability.
