Jairus Byrd CB Oregon #32

Ht: 5'10
Wt: 207

Strengths:
Has a nice compact build. Fairly strong for his size. Elite playmaker; excellent ball skills. Very good athleticism. Excellent quickness.
Weaknesses:
Straight-line speed is marginal. May be best suited as a nickel corner or a free safety. Short. Tackling ability is just average due to his lack of size.
Comments:
Father, Gil, played cornerback for the Chargers. Byrd's playmaking ability will catch your eye on film, but when he isn't making a big play he's a fairly marginal cornerback. He may actually end up making the switch to free safety where his ability to read the field and come up with interceptions will be more valuable.
