Jarron Gilbert DE San Jose State #90

Ht: 6'5
Wt: 288

Strengths:
A freakish athlete for his size. Elite lower body strength; an excellent bull rusher. Experience at defensive end and tackle. Above average speed for his size. Had a breakout senior year; could just be reaching his potential.
Weaknesses:
Could be a one-year wonder. Some may view him simply as a workout warrior. Still very raw. Very inconsistent. Doesn't have the necessary fundamentals to make an easy transition to the NFL.
Comments:
Father, Darren, played offensive tackle for the Saints. Gilbert is going to be one of the popular choices as a top sleeper prospect this year. As a senior he showed the potential to be an elite player at the next level, but he is still very inconsistent and needs plenty of coaching before he's ready to make an impact in the NFL. He would be a perfect fit at defensive end in a 3-4 defense.
