Josh Freeman QB Kansas State #1

Ht: 6'6
Wt: 248

Strengths:
Elite size and strength. Has the arm to make any throw on the field. Enough athleticism to extend the play with his feet. Will pick up some yardage running the ball from time to time, but definitely has a pass-first mindset. Decent all-around fundamentals.
Weaknesses:
Accuracy is below average. Struggles to maintain his fundamentals and technique under pressure. Not a great decision maker; hesitates too often. Needs to learn to throw to a spot and trust his receivers to get there rather than waiting for them to run the route and find an opening.
Comments:
Dad, Ron Freeman, played in the USFL. Freeman has all the skills that you can't teach - height, speed and arm strength - now its just a matter of putting it all together. He had a fairly impressive college career considering the lack of talent around him at Kansas State. He will be most attractive to a team that has a veteran quarterback in place because Freeman is definitely not ready to start in the NFL in 2009.
