Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly #11

Ht: 6'6
Wt: 229

Strengths:
Elite size and strength. Excellent body control; a serious red zone threat. A truly dominant wide receiver at his level of competition. Excelled in the few opportunities he had vs D-I opponents. Big hands; very reliable, catches everything within reach. Decent vertical, which makes him an even more impressive red zone target.
Weaknesses:
Speed and quickness are marginal. Doesn't have the ability to run away from defenders. Limited ability to make something happen after the catch. Hasn't faced top competition consistently.
Comments:
Set an NCAA record for consecutive games with a touchdown reception. Barden has the size and strength to project as a truly elite wide receiver. His ceiling is almost limitless (think of a taller version of Terrell Owens). However, there are questions about how his lack of speed will translate to the pros. D-II to the NFL is a significant jump and its possible he's simply too slow to be a consistent target. Despite those concerns, his upside is great enough to potentially earn him a place in the 2nd round.
