Victor Strong-Butler OLB Oregon State #90

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 241

Strengths:
An above average pass rusher. Adequate speed. Has a knack for making big plays and getting timely sacks. Excellent quickness off the snap. A good all-around athlete. A team leader on the field.
Weaknesses:
Played defensive end at Oregon State. Very little experience in coverage. Didn't earn a starting role until his senior year. Below average against the run.
Comments:
Strong-Butler has plenty of upside as a pass rusher, but he may not be anything more than that. He is a similar player to former Virginia Tech defensive end Darryl Tapp. He could be a situational pass rusher in the NFL, or be moved linebacker. His most upside is probably at outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. He will provide a team with an immediate boost as a pass rusher, but it will take time to develop other areas of his game.
