Chad Jones S LSU #3

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 230

Strengths:
Elite size for the safety position. Has experience at cornerback and safety. Great ball skills. A very good all around athlete; a top pitcher on the LSU baseball team. A hard hitter. Good tackling technique.
Weaknesses:
Only one full year as a starter at free safety, so he's still very raw. Actually better at man coverage than in the zone at this point in his career. Needs to improve his ability to read the quarterback; most of his big plays come from his raw natural ability and his ability to react rather than anticipate.
Comments:
Jones is very raw, but has the ability to develop into an elite safety. His biggest asset is his versatility. He has size and athleticism to play either safety position. His size will allow teams to get creative with him on the field and potentially play him closer to the line of scrimmage at times to assist against the run.
