Jahvid Best RB California #4

Ht: 5'10
Wt: 195

Strengths:
Elite speed and all-around athleticism. Has the quickness to consistently make guys miss. A threat to take it the distance every time the ball is in his hands. An accomplished receiver out of the backfield.
Weaknesses:
Serious injury concerns due to his lack of size and his history of injuries. Missed time in the 2008 offseason with a hip injury. Missed time in 2008 with a dislocated elbow; had surgery in the offseason. Missed the final five games of his career with a serious concussion and back injury.
Comments:
Best is an intriguing prospect due to his playmaking ability. The season Chris Johnson for the Titans in 2009 certainly boosts the stock of smaller running backs like Best. However, Best's place in the draft rests on his ability to recover from the devastating back injury he suffered in his final collegiate game. Even if he's fully recovered, his lack of size and his history of injuries essentially makes it impossible to view him as a potential starter in the NFL.
