Levi Brown QB Troy #12

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 229

Strengths:
Adequate size. A natural athlete with good mobility. Decent arm strength. Looks good throwing on the run. Above average accuracy. Throws a nice deep ball. Smart with the football; doesn't make many mistakes. Had a very productive senior year.
Weaknesses:
Limited experience. Transferred from Richmond following 2006 season. Didn't start for Troy until midway through the 2008 season. Hasn't faced much top competition.
Comments:
Brown certainly has the skills to play at the next level, but questions about his level of competition and lack of experience will make it difficult for him to come off the board before the 5th round. Physically he compares favorably to Dan LeFevour, but we've seen much more of LeFevour and teams will feel more comfortable with his ability to sustain his success at the next level. Brown is worth a 5th or 6th round pick by a team with a stable quarterback situation so that he can learn in a backup role without any pressure to see the field for his first few years.
