Mike Kafka QB Northwestern #13

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 216

Strengths:
Ideal height. Accurate on short passes. Throws a tight spiral. Does a nice job dropping the ball over the receivers shoulder on deep passes. Showed steady improvement throughout his career. A team leader on and off the field.
Weaknesses:
Limited physical abilities. Doesn't have great arm strength. Accuracy is shaky at times. Not a natural athlete; limited mobility. Doesn't have a sturdy build to consistently withstand hits from NFL linemen and linebackers.
Comments:
Kafka doesn't have a very high ceiling but he could make a nice backup quarterback. He's intelligent, hard-working and has shown steady improvement throughout his career - all the qualities you look for in a backup quarterback. Given a few years learning from the sidelines he could develop into the type of quarterback you'd be conformable filling in as a starter (a Kelly Holcomb/Damon Huard type).
