Strengths:
Elite size for a pass-catching tight end. Very good speed. Excellent hands. Runs good routes; does a nice job finding the soft spot in zone coverage. Surprisingly elusive after the catch. Gives a solid effort on blocks. Adequate strength, with the frame to bulk up.
Weaknesses:
Lacks the strength to be a dominant blocker. Missed the entire 2009 season with torn cartilage in his right knee.
Comments:
If not for his season-ending knee injury, Gresham could have legitimately made a push for a top-15 selection in this year's draft. Over the past few years only Kellen Winslow and Vernon Davis stand out as prospects that entered the draft with a higher ceiling than Gresham. Assuming he's healthy and able to work out for teams before the draft he should still be a late 1st-round selection.
