Cameron Heyward DE Ohio State

Ht: 6'5
Wt: 278

Strengths:
Elite size and strength. Perfect fit at 3-4 defensive end. Has experience at end and tackle in Ohio State's 4-3 defense. Makes the most of his limited athleticism. Occasionally drops into coverage and looks good doing so. Saw significant playing time all four years on one of the nation's elite defenses. A team leader on and off the field. NFL bloodlines - son of the late Craig "Ironhead" Heyward.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't have the athleticism to be a great pass rusher. Suffered an ankle injury during the 2009 offseason.
Comments:
There's very little to dislike about Heyward's game. He has the potential to be an elite 3-4 defensive end, in the mold of a Richard Seymour (from his Patriot days). He doesn't show up on many highlight reels due to the nature of his game, but he is one of the most complete linemen in this year's draft class. His ceiling may not be as high as some other draft prospects, but his floor also isn't as low as most. He is ready to step into a NFL starting lineup immediately if he lands in the right system.
